We use THERE IS, when talk about SINGULAR THING. (COUNTABLES and UNCOUNTABLES)
AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES:

NEGATIVE SENTENCES:
- Estructure:
There isn´t + A/AN + thing + complemet
- Examples:
- There isn't a notebook in the bookstore.
- There isn't an aeroplane in the airport.
- There isn't a mirror in the bathroom.
INTERROGATIVE SENTENCES:
- Estructure:
Is there + a/an + thing + complement + ?
- Examples:
- Is there a courtain in the kitchen?.
- Yes, there is / No, there isn't.
- Is there an apple in the fridge?
- Yes, there is. / No, there is´t.
- Is there a laptop in the house?
- Yes, there is. / No, there isn't.
IMPORTANT
THERE ARE
We use THERE ARE, when talk about PLURAL THINGS.
We never use A/AN after THERE ARE.

- Examples:
